I haven't but I pretty sure that you have to report the loss to their local immigration ASAP and go through the process of getting a new one. If they don't they will be fined, if they try and leave korea permantly without it.

I did, along with my wallet last year. You need to bring your passport out to the immigration office, along with a little money and they'll get you a new one.

I had lost mine in my wallet and I filed a police report first, then took my copy to immigration. But it sounds like the police report may not be necessary.

Yeah, you have to file a police report first. To prove its been stolen and you are not just getting lots of immi cards. Do this, go to immigration with your passport and about 20 000 and bingo, 15 minutes later there is a new alien card.

I lost my wallet last year, on the way to a job interview...so I had to bum money to get home,
Anyway, I had to go to the Police station with my passport and get a letter, which I then took to immigration. I paid 10,000 won I think...and then there was a 10 day wait for my new card.
