So, my friend told me on the weekend that she thinks she may have a ghost in her apartment. Stuff like her sons toys will turn on without going near them, or the sensor light will turn on every now and then when no one is near it.

Out of curiosity, has anyone here had any paranormal experiences during their stay in Korea?

Korean ghosts, indeed any ghosts, lack vocal chords and as such can't 'speak' any language at all. Instead ghosts usually communicate through gestures or a form of telepathy. When using the second method they will appear to the recipient to be speaking in their own language. So to a Korean person a Korean ghost appears to speak Korean, but to a foreigner a Korean ghost will speak in some kind of barbarian tongue.

I hope this helps.

No, Korean ghosts only mime when it comes to foreigners.

As for your friends stuff moving, and lights flickering...I would bet this might be the culprit...you can learn more on the links below:

There has to be some play on words with "ghost" and go-stop. Gho-se-to-peu.... I can't figure one out.

I'm 'dead' serious!

Think about it. All the people who have died horrible deaths on this peninsula. It could be true! And my friend is no where near crazy and alas, she does not speak the "hanghoul".
