I'm in class right now actually. I was told to come into work on the last two days of the semester but I was also told I wouldn't have to teach and that the students wouldn't be having any class. I came in for a day of seat warming and five minutes after my first class would've started had it been a regular class day, I was told it was a regular class day and that my first class had started. Having absolutely no prep whatsoever I just walked in the class and gave them free time (they're the worst group anyway). I spent the first five minutes throwing a styrofoam ball at them for my personal enjoyment if that's any indication.

Tomorrow is the last day of the semester and Wednesday is their graduation into the second year of High School (after it's spring break). I have five classes between now and then, and I don't want to be giving free time to all of them.

I guess I'll be able to free talk with the advanced students and the classes I like, maybe we can play some hangman or something too, but beyond that I'm all out of ideas. We've done everything before.

Anyone else got any? Thanks Smile (students currently over my shoulder acknowledging my typing speed, hah)

I have to teach a final lesson or two as well, I don't really see the point though. I am looking for something to engage Grade 5 for one lesson and Grade 6 for two lessons. I am told it can be absolutely anything. Any thoughts?

To the OP: Any ideas why my computer tells me you made that post on Sunday? Obviously you wouldn't teach on a Sunday so I'm wondering if I have something set up wrong.

EDIT Now it says Monday. God knows why.

That's odd... I posted it this morning during the middle of my first class. It's probably just Dave's being a poorly programmed piece of arse.

Show some Bean episodes or just play hangman. I have three more days of winter session in my high school and I'm just gonna have them do some readings from this book I have, show video clips, play music. I've pretty much checked out at this point, especially since I'm flying to Chicago on Thursday for 3 weeks. I can't wait!
