http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_cycle

I think "your friend" should have bought some morning after pills, that's what "my friend" did because that is the most fertile time (unless I misunderstand the info) - good luck

Phases
The menstrual cycle is divided into several phases. The average length of each phase is shown below:

Name of phase Average start day
assuming a 28-day cycle Average end day
menstrual phase 1 4
follicular phase (also known as proliferative phase) 5 13
ovulation (not a phase, but an event dividing phases) 14 14
luteal phase (also known as secretory phase) 15 26
ischemic phase (some sources group this with secretory phase) 27 28

Fertile window -
The most fertile period (the time with the highest likelihood of pregnancy resulting from sexual intercourse) covers the time from some 5 days before until 12 days after ovulation.[21] In an average 28 day cycle with a 14-day luteal phase, this corresponds to the second and the beginning of the third week. However, few cycles are exactly average. A variety of methods have been developed to help individual women estimate the relatively fertile and the relatively infertile days in the cycle: these systems are called fertility awareness.

cost?

jan 20th was the first day of bleeding. so by my calculation, 2 weeks after the 20th would be the first day of ovulation. which would be feb 3rd or 4th. the act was committed on the 31st.

Perfect timing to impregnate her. Semen can stay alive for a long time, I think even up to two weeks. If you must rely on the rhythm method, the perfect time would've been maybe January 18.

so is the m.a pill availabe here?

and I think it's more like 7 days, not 14.

but still. where can i get the m.a pill??

Go to the doctor, and get a prescription for it. Back home it's possible to just buy it at the chemist, but since even birth control now requires a prescription here, it's unlikely you can just grab it at the store.

As all here know, I'm a combat veteran paratroop. Go for the blood wings.

I'm also a biologist. Any female mammal's first menstruation cycle is likely to be atypical. Let her body get in synch next time. Jeebus.

Then practice your magic. You really should start a fertility counseling service. Couldn't have timed it much better.
My wife and I have ovulation detector kits, hormone tests, magic fetishes and a few exhausting rituals we do, and STILL she ain't pregnant after 3 years.
Perhaps my tadpoles aren't healthy.

Any pharmacist will give you whatever you ask for if you can indeed communicate what it is. Or go to a doctor.

why anyone would rely on the rhythm method instead of the pill or condoms is beyond me.

Rubber hats do take away some of the pleasure, but they also prevent some potentially major headaches. Always put on the combat gear first.

Go buy a pregnancy test kit ("Im-shin test") from the drugstore. " They cost maybe 4,000 won, which is a bargain considering how good it feels when it tests negative.

too early for the test. i don't think she's ovulating yet.

I'm more interested in the M.A pill.

can males in korea walk into a pharmacy and just pick up a couple?

is it possible for me, a male, to walk into the pharmacy and ask for emergency contraception?

yes or no?

and i agree with everything stated above.

Dude. Where is the girl in all of this fiasco? If she's a K-gal, she's probably gotten things under control already while you stooges run around panicky.

If she's a waygook, she and the male partner should go to the PHARMAcist, (no need for dr.) tell him/her the sitrep (situation report) and he'll tell you what you need.

Medical stuff here on planet K is surreal. Get used to it. There's no embarrassment, etc. BUT be careful WHERE you go to the yakguk (pharmacy.)
Koreans are communal folk. Word of ANYthing a little out of the ordinary may make national headlines. Well, netizens will hear about it anyway...

Do what ya gotta do.
