Has anyone ever come across a machine at a bank or other location that you can dump a mess of coins into and it gives you paper bills in return? (after taking a receipt to a cashier or teller) Some banks or supermarkets in the US have these, not sure if they are used here in Seoul. Let me know if you have spotted them somewhere.

I saw one in a KB* in Incheon. I assume they might have one in a KB* branch in Seoul too.

I have an account at KB, and every bank that I have been to has one of those machines. (I'm in Seoul.) I'm fairly certain that there is no charge to use it. They give you an option of getting the money in bills or having it deposited into your account.

I used one at a Woori bank last year. You dump the coins in and it spits out a receipt which you then take to the teller and exchange for cash. Damn machine kept jamming up but the security guard fixed it.
