Hi
I'm looking for a new job and one director told me I might be able to get an university position. I'm here in Korea and apparantly it is a good time right now.

Anyone know of a good way to apply to them? websites etc.

Or do I need to search out each Univ on line (trouble is their websites are in korean us)

Thanks,

Same with public schools, seems like every recruiter does not send me public schools. Any ideas?

For university gigs, I think you have to show up and apply in person...

As for PS jobs, the only way to get them is through recruiters... Shop around, there are quite a few that offer them... Just refuse to deal with anyone not willing to set you up with a PS placement

Troll the Dave's job boards a bit. Maybe you'll catch a school still desperate to get someone.

You're quite late, though. March 1 is the start of the next semester. You needed to be sending out resumes in November or December at the latest, and here to interview in person.

Most unis hired already for the season. Some put adds out on job boards, like on Dave's. Others are open only to recommended teachers through the existing teachers.

I don't think unis use recruiters much, people always want them and it's better for them to hire directly.

The ads I've seen on Dave's are all crappy. Low pay, limited vacation, demanding application process. Sigh.

Sigh, that's pretty well what I thought. Funny though, cause my friend did give my resume to one university and they want to interview me next week. BUT I won't be able to go because the immigration office in the area needs a LOR despite my visa being cancelled already. (which other immigration offices like Seoul and the imm hotline says isn't necessary anymore!) and apparently they told me I only have two weeks to apply for a new e2 visa. (although I can stay in Korea for 30 days)

Sorry, I'm totally ranting here.

Thanks for all the replies.
