As the saying goes, if you can't cut it in Korea teaching EFL, you can't cut it anywhere! Congrats!
Judging by the tone of your posts on these forums, I'm not surprised!

Sorry to hear that. Why are you getting fired so often? |

Unless I'm getting my posters mixed up, I am surprised.
Look on the bright side though - you've found 2 new jobs in less than a year so I'm sure you'll equal your hat trick of firings with a hat trick of hirings. Unless, of course, you have plans for bigger and better things. |

yingwenlaoshi, what's going on? You seem to me to know the systems in Korea quite well, you have been here long enough to know how to play the game. What was the cause of this firing? Did you do something or was it a way to save money for the hagwon? I just don't get it. With your experience, you would be able to weed out the good from the bad. Certainly surprises always happen, but you seem to have had a rotten streak.
You don't seem to broken up about it. Newbies would be, but you know just as well as I do that the jobs are a dime a dozen. It just sucks that you are consistenly missing out on the year end bonus. I hope you are at least getting other benefits to make it all worth while.
Best of luck finding a good fit for you in the future. Keep us updated as to what is going on. |

You know what they say....
If there's a problem at one place, it may be the employer....
If there's a problem at the second place, well, maybe it's the employer...
If there's a problem at the third place, hmmm, odds are it could be the employee...
and if all of this happens within a short period of time....? Starting to see an unfavourable trend here...
The OP is going to have a hell-of-a-time explaining all of this away on the ol' CV, I imagine. Will be interesting to see how all this pans out. |

I've had a streak of bad luck here too.
One hagwon was so poorly organised, from day one until they decided to let me go I would get my daily schedule when I turned up for work to prepare. Probably the worst run hagwon I've ever worked for!
The next school had a pyscho landlord who wanted far too much for the jeonsae renewal so it shut down. I made sure I stuck out the next job which had a terrible owner to avoid looking like the problem was me. |

Doesn't really surprise me.
From your posts I wouldn't hire you.
Best of luck for the next two or three months in your next job and the one after that and the one after that. |

Well look on the bright side - at least you don't have to work at a boring, pointless, stable public school job. |
