Hey,
I know that general practitioners like those found at the international clinic and other spots are easy enough to find. I am wondering if others have come to know of specialists in the medical profession that have decent English.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went to see an orthopedist to have an X-ray completed on my wrist. I had woke up with pain and wanted to make sure I had not fractured a meta-carpal (small bones in the hand). The X ray did not appear to be any fractures. The doctor went on in to try to explain the problem (strained ligament) and sign me up for some after school rehab. If he could explain the procedures a little better I might have gone for it but it seemed to me unnecessary and I decided to let the ligament heal on its own.
Now, almost a month and a half later I am still have pains when my wrist is extended in extreme positions and after doing lots of reading I have several questions as what could be wrong.
Long story short.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was wondering if anyone knows of a orthopedic clinic in where the doctor spoke good enough English for a discussion about issues, treatments, etc. so I don't feel so left in the dark.
Not sure if others have come across other specialists they found helpful but I am sure others in the foreign community would benefit from knowing of them so please share if you have had a positive experience. |

Don't most doctors speak English? Go to a major hospital, not a clinic. I've never had a problem. If the doctor went to a decent university, he had to do well on his test scores. |

They studied in English but their oral communication skills can be very poor. maybe dr. love can help you through his international health centre at Kyunghee University |

There is a great wrist specialist at our center, but his English is not very strong. We have a nurse who can translate for you.
The number of the center is 02-440-7304. |

If there is no brake it is probably just a little out of place. Go see the chiropractor Phillip Yoo in Seoul and he speaks perfect english.
If it in extension have a friend place both thumbs over the painful area and give it a flick as you extend have them do it on the back of your hand.
Sounds strange but a heavy book wacked onto the area at the back of the hand has been used for years by both Chiropractors and Gps.
Good luck if you live near Busan I will fix it for free for you. |
