I'm so pissed right now, I like to keep my computer clean of this kind of crap but when the korean teachers occasionally use my computer they install all kinds of crap.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this frickin PMS Agent. Made by this frickin company Softrun.
When u hit control alt delete, you can see the processes it's running ICNotify.exe, ICAgent30.exe, and ICService.exe they use like 14 mgs of ram
I've taken all of the korean crap programs off my computer, I have deleted the softrun folder from my program files multiple times, I have taken the tasks out of startup (using msconfig) I've even deleted the Softrun files from the registry. But nothing works.
When you restart they are gone for a couple of minutes, but they like redownload themselves or something. It pisses me off real bad and I'd love some advice |

yea, i am not such an expert on this... but had the same problem at work..
go into windows and find a folder called Prefetch... that is where the beast is hiding.. you need to use a program like Killbox which allows you to rename the file or kill it...
the softrun installation can also be blocked by active x, but i am not sure how to do this..
hopefully someone more technically literate can explain more abou thow to do this... that ICAGENT is a pain in the rear... |

Our university has something called Inciter that wants to install. I think it's related to Softrun. What exactly do these things do? It seems to give power to another to place software on my computer, and I don't like that. Why do they need this? |

inciter IS the program that causes the auto install, if you get rid of that everything is ok. It is definitely not an easy thing to do. I killed it a few months ago, and everything has been great since. I dont really remember the procedure though, it was long and complicated. |

Our system is set up so that you get really slow net speeds if you don't install it. |
