I only have a few days left in Korea and transferred all my money home.

I have a sudden urge to shop, so how do I withdraw money from my Canadian bank account, with a debit card?

Global ATM? Where can I find one?

Thanks!

I know you aren't too far from Hyehwa. Head to the local Hyehwa Hana Bank, one of their ATMs is now "global." Otherwise, Hana and KB bank near Anguk Station and Insadong are the way to go.

Isn't it sad that we have to search for "global" ATMs when in any other country, a simple "ATM" would do?

Have fun during your last few days, it was good meeting you at Phillip's.

In any other country? Have you travelled much? Been to japan? Embarassed

Most KB banks have global machines but they are often inside the branch rather than in the ATM rack room..

SC is also very good for global atms..

citibank always work.

the atms in 7/11 are also good.

+1. The ATM at 7-11 always has worked with my Royal Bank debit card when I have needed to use it.

.

I never had a problem in Japan using my American card, but I was in Tokyo. Unlike Seoul, I didn't have to seek special machines.

Yes, they are in English. On the screen, there is a 'button' in the lower right corner that says 'Foreign Card' or 'International Card' or something like that, use that function.

Most SC banks will accept foreign cards.

I find it ridiculous that I spent 30 minutes searching for an ATM that would accept my card in MYEONG-DONG, the "international sparkling tourist shopping hub" of Korea. Rolling Eyes
