Daves ESL Cafe to me is a place where I can unload some of the daily frustration I feel living in Korea, share my opinions to better help others to adapt to Korea and learn about current issues that might affect me or obtain up-to-date information.
I just read a post in another thread (someone looking for a hotel or something), and the poster is Korean. I don't mean to appeal to the notion of exclusivity, but it seems this forum is one of the last places that I can get away from Koreans, and I don't appreciation the infiltration.
Does anyone else feel the same way? |

You might want to check out http://www.stormfront.org/forum
Seems more up your alley, I'm sure they'll be happy to hear about your complaints. |

| I would love Koreans to come on here and read about some of the shitty behaviour we have to put up from their countrymen. I doubt it will change anything but I welcome any Korean to peruse through the bitchfest - and maybe they can think to themselves 'hey - some of us aren't being nice to our guests - let's try and change!' |

I think everyone who wants to post on this forum should be required to submit their passport (proving nationality), internet-CRC (no prior flaming offenses), a DNA test (proving a lack of pure blood), and most importantly... an IQ test.
Death to Korean infiltrators!!! |

I'm with bundang babo on this one. I'd really like for more Koreans to read about our experiences and daily dealings with their fellow countrymen and women. Most of them simply have no idea of the frustrations we go through. Also they'd probably appreciate hearing about the lengths many of us go to to try and fit in and make a decent life here. We might get a lot more empathy if they read this message board. Then again, some of the threads might reinforce the poor opinion they have of us. I'd take my chances |

| I never imagined this place to be only the thoughts of foreigners. I actually like the fact that there are Koreans here, too, so if there is some misconception, there's someone who can address it. And multiple points of view is always a good thing. And yeah, some of them are here to complain, too. |

You do more than your fair share to intergrate kid - if most expats were like you - there would be no board - a lot of it is down to personal attitude and yours is spot on! |

You're either: a) not looking hard enough, or b) lacking imagination |

| I might recommend my Korean friends not read this site because some posts are just downright offensive. However, the more Koreans posting here the merrier I say- more cultural input for me! |

On a different note....
Anyone here an active member of any of the more common Korean discussion sites like daum and naver? I heard they really don't like white dudes on there too much...but I could (and usually am) be mistaken. |
