Hey everyone! California native here. I'm here as a grad student for a year.

I've recently met a bunch of people who like to play baseball, and wanted to invite anyone interested in getting together for a pickup game on weekends or weekday afternoons. Extra baseball gloves are available.

There's a field near the Anyangcheon (Anyang River) between Mokdong (Yangcheongu) and Sindorim (Gurogu)... it's near a running track and other nice workout facilities.

Korean natives and foreigners are all welcome! We can also play ultimate frisbee, soccer, basketball, etc.

Email me for more details! [email protected]

hey there, have u guys played in Anyang yet? I actually play on a team (GO WHALERS) and we play in Gwacheon Government Complex almost every Sunday.

The soccer playing pansies have recently complained about baseball players on the grounds and we might have to find new locations to play.

Why are soccer players such pansies?

I used to live out that way. There is a nice outdoor graffiti gallery under the bridge near there on the Guro side of the stream. Some of the artists have got skills.

(copied and pasted from my other post)

hey again baseball lovers,

There's a bunch of opportunities to play baseball in Korea as there are leagues everywhere. I'm actually playing on three different teams right now.. my weekends are packed w/ baseball practice and or games (as you can imagine).

I play on two men's teams (one is my company's team, and the other with a bunch of different guys I met while playing at a neighborhood field). I'm the only girl on both teams.

I'm also on a women's team (in a league that's comprised off men's teams).

My company team is exclusively for our company peeps, and we play in a publishing company league... but my other's guy's team is open to outsiders joining. We're based out of the Mokdong/Sindorim/Guro area(Yangcheon league) west of the Han River. We've officially started league play this past weekend... and we play an average of 3 games a month.

Most of us play in multiple teams all over Seoul and the surrounding areas. So we could easily help you find a team to play on if this field is too far from you.

If you're a girl, come join our women's team... As I mentioned earlier, we play in a men's league that is pretty competitive. Also, our team just came back from competing in an international women's baseball tournament in Hong Kong. There's also another American on my women's team.. she doesn't speak too much Korean but gets along perfectly with the other teammates.

Please contact me for more info, I'll gladly help you find a league!
