Doesn't your co-teacher have a file of your personal info? It may contain info about the new teacher.

Or, there may be a file situated near yours.

Get your visa extended by immigration for two weeks on showing your outbound ticket and then go into school everyday and demand your money when the new teacher is there.

Cause a scene.

That's a good idea.

Turn on the melodrama.

Cry in front of the students too, just for a laugh! Laughing

The pulled out a file with my stuff...it's in another office though. What will be in there, a resume and contract. Is it possible to have a resume in there of a person they're not hiring?

If the person is coming 2 days before I"m set to leave, then maybe it's someone already in this town, as I know there was someone here who applied, but the school told me they couldn't hire them.

It doesn't matter, if there is info about another native teacher there, contact them and ask.

I have no want/desire to stay in this country. I wouldn't want an F-5. I just want what I was promised.

I'm not sure what contract immigration has...how can I find out? I think my visa expires on March 1st, I'll have to check tonight when I get home.

Call to immigration and ask for an English speaking person. Ask for the person in charge of files etc, NOT E-2 visas. The idiot in charge i talked with said that they wouldn't give me a copy of my criminal background check because I didn't need it... but I told him that the school board did (for EPIK) and yet again, they REFUSED to give it to me when they had it scanned on the computer. What did I have to do? Go downstairs, wait 1-2hours (if it was backed up) and get a stamp on it. Instead I had to make a few phone calls after retuning home and go back the next day. Since you're in a rush, I thought this might help.
