I can't give you any advice because I simply don't know whether a mistake has been made or not. All Korean embassies/consulates seem to do things differently (its the K-way). However, I can tell you the following -
My current employer is a POE and I'm under an EPIK contract. I have two, E-2 visas in an old passport and just took a look at the 'Remarks'.
The visa issued four years ago has -
MSBOXXXXXXXX(numbers).
The visa issued two years ago has -
my Provincial Office of Education (in Hangul).
If your Notice of Appointment was from SMOE I wouldn't worry. All funding for public school, foreign English teachers in Korea ultimately comes from EPIK (SMOE or any other city; GEPIK or any other province; or any individual school etc.).
You can try asking questions of SMOE; however, your questions will likely cause confusion and go unanswered.
Hopefully, someone currently working for SMOE can look at their visa under Remarks and respond to this thread. |
