I really want to try and get this tv channel. Which networks beside Hello-D offer this channel? Which is the cheapest set up? Do you have to sign a year-long contract? (I'm only here for another 6 months).
Also do all of the Korean cable networks have the same star sports channel? The only reason I ask this is because I was watching this channel being streamed last night when the rugby was supposed to be on but they had something completely different. |

don't worry about that stream, that's the chinese stream ( i think) the one in korea is different and shows the rugby. it is just available in different countries ( kinda like discovery) and has different schedules in each area |

there are a number of star sports tv feeds out there, chinese, english, hindu, cable, satellite etc. also star sports has to restrict some sports because somebody else holds the rights, i.e. the premiership cant be shown on star or espn in thailand because somebody there bought the rights. heck i know there is a difference between the star sports sky life feeds vs the one my cable company gets (which is completey devoid of commentary english or chinese) so it depends on where the stream is coming from
btw talk about a crap sports channel, look at mbc/espn, today while working out somebody had it on and it had as a "sport" a contest where a bunch guys competed to see who could put and take off the most pair of jockey shorts, i'm not kidding |

I've had a problem with star sports before so becareful. The coverage i had in Seoul was great, football and rugby with English comentary but the one down in Changwon is crap, Chinese golf and A1 Grand prix.
I emailed them to ask about the problem and they said that there are two streams that come to Korea one on Satalite, this is the good one and comes from Hong Kong and one on cable and this is the not so good one. So try and check which one you are getting. |

those links don't work for the rugby. They are just streams from the bbc iplayer which is not allowed to show the rugby even in the UK. You just get a message saying the program is not available but you can watch it on your tv.
Anyway, has anyone got any contact details/company names for any providers in Seoul? |

cnm cable for most, gu's there are other cable companies, heck i even think kt now provides cable tv service, not sure of the number but dial 02-120 the seoul global center and somebody can get you the number of an english speaker there and tell you what companies provide in which gu's, in each gu there used to be 4 or 5 cable providers but cnm bought most of them out |
