|
|
Hi,
I've just been asked to bring my Degree Certificate to work (with passport and Alien Card) tomorrow for some vague reason. It was done at the last minute (like so many other things) but from what me and my co-workers could gather, it had something to do with the government (and possibly an AIC card???). Weird I know.
Anyway, my question is: is there any reason why my employer should need my Degree Certificate whilst I am in Korea?
I've been here two months and I enjoy working at my hagwon (7 hour days and two 70 minute classes per day) but I'm not some hagwon pushover. So I am hesitant to hand my Degree over again...
Finally, there is a Parents' Seminar on Wednesday (the foreign teachers aren't involved) so I am thinking that they basically just want to show off our passports/Degrees to prove they have legit teachers???!!!
What do you think?
Thanks! |

Yes... so he can hold it 'hostage' and bend you to his will if you get 'uppity'. |

Yeah! I don't think it's the case here though. I mean, they only just gave us our Degrees back a couple of weeks ago, once we received our ARCs. It makes no sense, but I'm quickly realising that that is the norm around here! |
