Why has no one mentioned the fact that this girl was getting an abortion at 23 weeks?!?!?!? You decide an abortion is the right choice after carrying a baby for almost 6 months? Most abortions are done during the 1st trimester, not at the end of the 2nd! I am all for a woman's right to choose, but this woman chose to do this way too late. I cannot believe a doctor would support this!
Sadly, this girl realized her mistake too late, and her child was murdered. The woman who did this is a sick monster. It's people like that who give others negative opinions about abortion and a woman's right to choose.
Post 20 week abortions count for 1.6% of all abortions performed. These are almost always done due to health complications.

This woman in particular, is basically a worst case scenario and if it took this woman 23 weeks to realize she could look after a kid, well, clearly she should not be lookin' after a kid.

Yes, this is an exceptional case, siezed upon because it is so grotesque. Most late abortions are performed for very good reason.

As I understand, the mother is still a teenager, and may have been bewildered and not known which way to turn until quite late.

I hope the little child didn't suffer, and feel so sorry for it. I also fear the mother will rue this for the rest of her life. Very tragic. But I also hope this case is not used in a nefarious way to slowly eat away at abortion legislation.

As for leftists not caring about this - always hypocritical coming from rightwingers who seem so quick to bring war and death to living breathing children in faraway hot countries - children conscious and already aware of their lives, and wanting to live in a world that doesn't bring so many of them death or cruel disability. If the same people had been marching in the street to stop the bombs falling on innocent children in Afghanistan or Gaza, I could feel a lot more respect for them.
