No, I've never even seen the inside of a weightroom, let alone a kettleball |

Actually it's true, but when you are as naturally well-defined as me such things are not required! (Damn, I sound like Mr Dokdo)
Anyway, still think a Ketllebeller sounds kind of creepy. |

Ok, did a little research on these. Interesting, but wouldn't they give you wrist problems since (and I could be getting this wrong) your wrists aren't in a neutral position? |

The common problems associated with weight training here in
the West is almost unheard of in Russia, where KB's emerge from.
Sprained wrists and rotator cuff problems are non-existent.
Not only are KB's one of the best if not the best tools for both SPEED
and POWER, they will give you a monster grip.
You can find them in Korea. But like everything else in this
god forsaken country expect to pay out the ass for imports. |

hmmm...
having used both kettlebells and dumbbells...not sure that kettlebells are worth the hype...or the outrageous prices.
Would like to hear why people prefer kettlebells to dumbells. |

There is a kettlebell seminar in Seoul the last weekend of March. It's posted on Dragondoor.com, but doesn't have a lot of particulars. I contacted one of the guys presenting it, and was given the information below. I've emailed Mr. Lee, but haven't heard back yet, I'll post more specific info if anyone is interested:
"Please contact the workshop organizer, Mr. Kenneth Lee at [email protected] for the specifics."
Dr. Mark Cheng

I emailed Mr. Lee yesterday about the KB Workshop, but have not gotten an email back yet. I plan to go to it. It's going to be tough if you've read the description on DragonDoor.com's website describing it.
The quality of the KB's from Speed and Power is good. I have 12's, 16's and 24kg's. There was someone who sold 28's and 30kg's a year or two ago, but he seems to be out of business now. I'd love to get a couple 30kgs! I emailed him yesterday but have not gotten an email back yet. I plan to go.
BTW, the 16kg works out to a bit over 35 lbs and the 24kg works to just slightly under 53 lbs. The "pood" (roughly 16kg) is the offical Russian weight for KB's. It's an old weight system that isn't used any more. |

I just saw this thread and wanted to add some information.
I had the chance to meet Mr. Lee and talk to him about the upcoming event.
Here is some of the info I got on the workshop (The same info is on the Speed and power website)
The workshop will be held at a gym near Yang Jae Subway Station (says the gym is less then 50 meters from the station on SAP website)
Cost will be 430,000KRW for men and 420,000 KRW for women the price includes a kettlebell (12kg for men and 8kg for women).
Training is from 9am to 5pm both days.
The trainers will be Dr. Mark Cheng and Jon Engum.
Think thats the main information.
I also plan on attending should be a blast.
If anyone has any questions please let me know and I will see if I can answer them.
