|
|
Back in Dec 2007 when the new regs were put into place, it was publicized that after submitting all necessary documents (degree, transcripts, CRC), they would be kept on file. This way, one wouldn't have to keep re-submitting every time one wanted a new visa.
After reading some recent threads, it seems like immigration have been asking people to submit their docs again. So did immigration not follow through with this plan or what?
Also, does anyone know if immigration returns your CRC to you as they do with degrees, or do they keep/discard it as they do with transcripts? |

I find it amazing that immigration can tell me where I've worked, dates and locations over the past 7 years, it's all on their computer.
But they can't keep a record saying that my degree is real, my transcripts are genuine and my police check is valid.
What a bunch of F^&*() BOZOS! |

It is the Korean Immigration system. It is a roll of the dice every time you deal with them. Roll a one and you get quick and efficent service. Roll a 6 and you get a run around and whoops deportation.
I think it was that people did not have to submit degree checks and transcripts over and over again. Which I support! But not health checks and criminal records checks.
Think of it like this. Each time you look for a job - go back to square one. |

So they're keeping your verified degree and transcripts on file, but not CRC and health check?
Someone confirm this please. |

No, they have records that the degree was verified for the last few years that we were here. If the degree was valid then, why do they need to go through all the checks and things again?
They have records that transcripts were issued and accepted for the past few visas, so if they have that, why do they need new transcripts each time?
They have records on all this stuff, why they hell don't they use them?
Why force us all to go through this same crap year after year? |

No. I had to submit EVERYTHING for a job this year (2009) degree, transcripts, CRC, VSS, health check...
And during my three year stint at a public school I was regularly asked for a copy of my transcripts each year by my co-worker who claimed he needed it for the Education Office...one wonders what they did with the previous one(s). |
