|
|
So I've lived in Daegu for the past few months. My cousin is headed out to visit, and we're travelling from Seoul to Busan. I checked the korail website and found the buses from Seoul to Busan are pretty cheap. However, I'm not sure where the Seoul pickup is. It says Seoul [010]. I tried to do some searching, but couldn't figure out the code. Does anyone know if the korail buses pick up at Seoul Station (which is basically the only place in Seoul that I know)? If not, can anyone tell me where the buses depart from and directions to get there? Thanks! |

The buses to Busan mostly depart from the Express Bus Terminal. That is south of the river and not a million miles from Gangnam station, but not walking distance either. Theres nothing in that neighbourhood apart from buses pretty much. Only go there to take a bus. If you need to get there then you need to go to the go-suk bus-terminal.
The KTX is your best bet.. it's worth paying $40 more to take a high speed train than mess around with buses. You can take the KTX from Seoul station, the only place you know.
If you don't wanta take the KTX then you should take a flight from Gimpo airport (it's on the subway).
That is still better than the 4hr bus.
Up to you though. 4hr bus or 2hr train or 45min plane. Whatever you want. I think the bus sucks though unless you're with friends and you bring copious amounts of beer or wine. |

KTX is the best for dozens of reasons. As well as the ones said above, Busan's 2 bus stations are in the middle of nowhere and Busan station, where the ktx goes is wayyy more central. Busan's airport is also in the middle of nowhere. |

I agree with them. Even the slow 5 hour cheap train is better than the bus, and not that much more expensive.
bus 20 - 30 k
ktx 51k
slow train 30-40 k
the extra 20 bucks is worth it. especially when you factor in getting to/from out of the way bus terminals |
