Hey Tiger Beer, I'm going to Fukuoka too. And Nagasaki. I've spent the last two big holidays in Korea and I figure it's time to explore a little further afield. Too bad it's only five days, but I can always go again.

I am going to bow at the grave of my best friend's grandfather. Is anyone else doing anything traditionally Korean?

I'm taking an eco tour of the south and east coasts, including the pohang area. Those glorious flocks of tundra swans from the arctic have jetted in to spend the winter on the lakes and wetlands of South Korea!!! What a sight, thousands of wild ducks filling the skies!! Really excited, gets my blood pumping!!
I've got the monday, tuesday off as well! can't wait!!!!

Cool, but how many sales last more than a couple of days?

According to my friends, it's not just a clothing store, but a religious experience. Wink

Thank you for the information. I guess a place called "Mango" would not be for men anyway. (Now I am thinking of Saturday Night Live)

All the Mango stores are having sales right now. They fly in clothes from stores all round the world, so not only are they much cheaper, but there's also stuff that hasn't actually been sold/come in to the seoul stores. Double woo hoo. I have spent way too much dosh there recently. Fave clothes store + (sale x compulsive shopper) = debt. However, I plan to lay a few more wreaths at the feet of the mango gods.

Wow! I thought I'd get to see this, was supposed to be working on the southern coast, near one of the migratory grounds for the swans (oh, well). I'm not a birdwatcher but have accompanied my mother to lectures and owl-banding, stuff like that. Anyway, I was looking forward to seeing the swans. Can't go see them after all, not this year, at least.

If you have time, would you consider posting a report or pictures? Best vibes for your trip!
