Drinking it now. 10,000 from Emart for 6 cans of above average German beer - which stills makes it 1,000 times better than the Korean pish.
Get involved if you haven't already.

Yes I agree it's not a bad beer, and it's the one I turned to when I first arrived last year and I couldn't stomach the Korean beer. I seem to remember it being closer to 8000 though.

But if you're on a budget, Homeplus has a generic called Tesco Import which is actually made in the Netherlands. Around 5000 won for 4 tallboys. Maybe not as good as a true import but not a bad value and definitely better than the K-beers.

On a side note, I actually have grown to like the Black Stout, especially if served ice cold. It has a pretty good taste and passes my all important hangover test(the main reason I don't like Cass or Hite)

Plenty of international beers at Emart, Homeplus or your other favorite department store/grocery store and cheaper than at the convenience stores at least here in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.

You should have been here ten years ago when the only place you could find non-Korean beer was Itaewon.

Try the 8.9% alcohol "fort" Oettinger that E-Mart also carries. Not as smooth, but one might could get you drunk.

Oettinger is a brewery which buys unused beer from the mayor brands in germany and resells it. The don't brew on their own. For us germans it's well known. I don't know which brand is ait cctually what they are selling in Korea. But be sure it's f... - the f word is not allowed - ing good beer for a reasonable price.

And with the finace crisis it's the best option to get underpriced beer
