What do you have to do on your last day in Korea?
Close bank account, cancel cell phone, transfer money, pack...
Anything else?
I never thought I'd be sad to leave. |

Clean up the place? You could just keep the bank account running with no money in it, in case you ever come back. |

Really? I doubt I'll come back (never say never), and perhaps I can close it online anyways. |

No the best idea before flying, but you know, it's a true Korean send-off. |

Then kick a bottle of soju for drinks.
Long before your last day, you should freight yourself a CARE package of all the things that you think you might miss back home, or some of the stranger foodstuffs that you would have a hard time finding. You should also pack at least two weeks before you leave and live out of your suitcases. It gives you time to think about what you need to ship, what you need to pack, and what just needs to be thrown away. That goes for all TDY. |

Somewhat true, I'd say. Many who find they can deal with the place (and finish a contract without pulling a runner) do end up missing The Sparkling.
I was one of those people. I was here for two years, went home for a year, then suddenly I was back at Incheon Airport's arrivals terminal dry-humping my Korean girlfriend in front of strangers (we're now married).
Some stuff about the K-Land still irks me, but overall I've made peace with it. |

You have to leave money in it or they'll close it. |

Well, I like to read. I am quietly lurking in the background! I just recalled the post. I think you are departing shortly before midnight if I recall correctly. |
