I had read a post here two or three weeks back discussing the current wait times. Some members had mentioned that they were waiting upwards of three weeks for their E-2's.

My visa was submitted to Korean Immi about 15 days ago and I still have no word on when I will receive the code.

Has anyone else received their visa in the last few days, if so, how long did you have to wait?

I'm still waiting for mine, but it's only been about 9/10 days.

I left my passport w/ the K-consulate once and they stole it and sold it to a criminal who left the country w/ it like 10 hours later. The excuse they used when I went to pick up my visa was that they lost it.

The Canadian consulate mailed me somebodys marriage certificate from the Busan office rather than my papers for my crc.

Not sure where your visa is but I would assume most of us have ours.

My documents arrived in Korea on 1/28 and I received my confirmation # on 2/5, so I didn't have to wait much. You should be getting yours soon...

i'm sure a hundred thousand won might have sped up your number. they don't usually turn around in 4-5 days. it's been 4 days for me since my (future) boss submitted my info, and I'm assuming it'll be pretty much another week at least. oh well. the consulate is literally down the street from where I'm staying, so getting the actual visa sticker should take no more then 1 day.

My documents were submitted to Korean immigration in Seoul at the end of January and 7 days later I had my visa issuance number. So it didn't take that long really.

I then applied for my E2 visa at the Korean Consulate in London last Friday and I received my visa today. So, the whole process only took 16 days.

Good luck! It shouldn't take too long now before you have the visa and are ready to go.

Hmmm, not sure what you mean. The 28th to the 5th is 8 days. I called the Korean Consulate on the morning of the 6th and scheduled an "interview" with them for the 10th and was able to get my visa that very same day (I had to come back at the end of the day). Obviously not everyone's will take the same amount of time.

How can one 'submit' somthing one does not yet have?

There is no code... you click your heals together three times and say "There's no place like home." Wink

Cruisemonkey "How can one 'submit' somthing one does not yet have? "

My Guess is that he's talking about all of his documents, ie degree, transcripts, health check, criminal record check , photos etc etc and is waiting for the visa issuance number.

If you click your heals together three times and say " there is no place like home" and end up in Korea you are really screwed.

We use that to get out of Korea.

P.s. I tried it and I am still in Korea I think that witch was telling lies.

From the moment it is filled to reception takes 10 days if all docs are in order.

So if you put it on a Monday, the Visa is ready next week Wednesday.
