I only have 4 pairs of shoes here and 3 are smelling bad. I've put anti-bacterial soap in them and I'm now thinking of washing them. What's your advice?

Toe-Funk:

Buy some of those charcoal shoe inserts from the shoe shop/repair guys on the street. There is a brand called "Happy Day" that works well, and is pretty cheap.

From my experience, once they start smelling they are done. Bacteria/fungus has already started growing and there isn't much of a cure.

tfunk - Try bleach diluted 1 to 50, put it in a spray bottle. Cover the outside of the entire shoe(s) with suran wrap (double it up) and spray the inside of the shoes. Let dry completely and repeat a few times and see what happens.

They would only smell on the inside of the shoes, right? And who is going to smell the inside of your shoes?

cedar shoe trees. they suck the moisture out of shoes which is what causes the odour. can be pricey, but worth it for good shoes

They can work miracles with a pair of mouldy old trainers.
