The more I think about the OPs post, the angrier I become.
The OP should've bought the kid some new clothes, a new bike, taken out a health insurance policy for him, and found him a pad in the Hamptons.
It's a shame, and I'll see you in hell Mr. Sitter.*

I ran into something similar in Seoul Station - bought the kid milk nearly everyday for a month. |

No human being has anything on the strength and compassion of Mother Theresa. She would carry wounded people in the middle of crossfires and be in some of the worst places. She allowed people to have dignity in their last moments.
I can't imagine myself or anyone else having that kind of strength ever. |

Some of you rat bags make me sick.. God Koreans wouldn't give two shits if we were on the side of the road bleeding to death. Why should we take the Moral high ground.. Isn't that what got us into the deep shit we are in now all over the world. I say *beep* Koreans and their bullshit URINARA, let them behave like cretins and hermits. Its not our responsibility to take care of their failings. At least he bought the kid a chocolate bar.
I worked in a haqwon I saw this crap all the time.. I worked in a Kindergarten and had this adorable little girl she was very polite, clean and taken care of, then one day she started coming in dirtier and started to behave badly. I spoke with our director because I was concerned for the kid. It turned out the mother got sick and bored with the child and dumped her into her uncles lap. One month later she stopped coming to our haqwon. The sick thing is I saw the scumbag mother all fancy dressed up riding around in her brand new SUV. |

Interesting. My first thought was, why did the Korean kid come up the foreigner? But we will never really know; we can just guess. It would of been useful/interesting to ask the kid some questions. Try to find out what happened to the parents. Ask the kid if he has spoken to any of the Korean customers/employees. If not, why. If you truly want to understand the question, it would help to ask the kid some questions.
I wouldn't have taken the kid to an employee. Give the kid some basic credit. If you see a kid standing in one place and crying then you can assume they need help and they would appreciate you guiding them to an employee. But at a certain age, kids start to understand the situation. They know where to go if they need help. His brain helped him choose Homeplus. Give the kid options and information. Do you really think you would be helping him by forcing a decision on him? |
