I know there will be a thread on this somewhere but just asking seems a lot quicker. I'm goin to immi tommorrow to renew my visa. I am staying at the same school. I have the following documents.

-passport
-arc
-medical check
certificate of appointment
-samman won

Is there anything else I need? Immi is 40 mins away from me and I don't want to cock it up. I checked the hikorea web page but it is an activex riddled piece of crap and it is shit. Plus it didn't tell me what I needed to know.

Thanks in advance.

You will also need your contract and the Business Registration Number for your school.

Don't waste the trip! Cool

Cheers. Forgot to add contract to the list. I'm PS too, so I have a highly official looking document that should be used in place of the business number.

Yeah... I know you're PS, but the Ks translate it as 'Business Registration Number'.

I'd write the name of the document in Hangul, but my 'home' computer keyboard is not 'Hangul enabled' because I made my PS to buy me a new computer with an English version of Windows. Cool

Oh yea, thanks. I'm pretty sure I have it sorted. How about medical check? My gf looked up the K version of the site and it didn't mention it. I will shit if they don't ask for it after all trap I got from the office of education about getting one before they would renew me.

For PS (EPIK) renewal, you do need the medical check; you do not need another CRC.

For hogwan renewal, you need both.

I just sent a teacher to renew her visa TODAY. She went to the Jogno immigration office with the renewal contract, a couple pieces of paper from the school, business registration. ARC and passport, as well as 30,000 won. We are at a Hagwon. NO CRC OR MEDICAL CHECK WAS NEEDED

If Masan immi don't ask for the medical check I did last month, there is going to be merry hell to pay down the local POE. They forced all returning FTs to do a medical at their own expense. I don't expect any satisfaction over the issue but it might make me feel slightly better.

Hey thanks, that's really helpful. I doubt you will read this in time but on my "Notice of Appointment" it has a number called a "deung rokbun ho", is that the business reg number? I guess it is.

Ok... you'd think I'd have learnt by now that the answer to EVERY question to do with K-Immi is - "Maybe... it depends on whether the officer you will deal with had sex last night." Wink
