Now I know why I like Korean women so much - even though the VP and his adjosshi mates are a bunch of jackoffs - the younger female teachers are really nice at my school - when I try to speak to them - more often than not they start to blush  and avert their eyes (or sometimes not - some just stare right into your eyes  ) I think it is so cute because they aren't young teenagers though thats how they act. |

I'm sorry, but why would you find this behaviour cute in a adult female?
This is the very thing that creeps me out about most Korean women. It makes me feel like I am in grade school all over again, when in fact I am a grown man.
I much prefer grown-ups, but hey, to each his own. |

| I dont find it cute at all. More irritating than anything else. Especially when they`re pretending to be naive and stupid about a topic eg. when I need help. |

I don't find young teenagers attractive so lets get that out of the way for a start before anyone implies anything! 
OK - probably 'young teenager' is a bad comparison but these ladies (mid twenties to early 30s) are shy, most of them are married and are OK when you bow your head and say hello but when you try and engage discourse with them - even the ones who speak good English - they start to stutter and blush - I think it is so sweet! (I agree that daft 'cutesy' behaviour like putting on a stupid voice or fluttering the eyelashes and stroking your arm is over the top) They aren't like that with their fellow male Korean teachers so maybe it is just the power of the waigookin!  |

Well - I'm not exactly white - I am mixed race but I do pass as a Spaniard or an Italian (or someone from Uzbekistan as some drunk told me at Boejong station! )
It's not always been like this - I have lost a lot of weight since coming here and all this has been a recent development - I am not interested in anything with the delightful young ladies in question - they are all married and you can go to jail for that! (as happened with that famous actress here)
And I'm sure this happens to lots of native English teachers up and down the country - it is not a post bragging about how brilliant I am or that its uncommon! |

The OP is right, this is an observable phenomenon in Korea.
I don't like it though. I like women to be direct, assertive, and to act like...women. (not juvenile teenagers)
That's why i generally prefer western women (as opposed to Korean women). |

I know there are women like this, but i work with 10 korean teachers of various ages and marital status', and not one of them acts like a juvenile teacher. Well, unless you take the piss and ask them how many guys they've got on the go, in front of all the teachers. Then they get a bit hands over the mouthy. |

Shy Korean boys are absolutely adorable. Then you get on a date and they gain some confidence and they ask you if you can cook. To which you must reply for all the gender tradition in the household you admire the Korean army's stance on gay sex and think it's wonderful all soldiers have at least one gay relationship before they finish their army service.
Shockingly, I rarely have a second date. |

| I can't get past a few lines at these 회식 without some ajeossi butting in and yelling at me in Korean about soju. They need attention so badly it'd be pathetic if they weren't cockblocking the shit of out me (with women I'm not even hitting on). |

I find the shyness routine a bit endearing at times too, but only if they eventually warm-up to you after some contact.
I have a few women students who fit the Ops description perfectly, but the problem is after 20 flippin' classes they haven't changed. It's like every class (1:1) we're meeting each other again for the first time! Frustrating! |
