WTF, so the end of the contract (at public school) and there's the bit that says employee, upon sucessful completion of the teaching year may be reimbursed for a flight home or of less or equal distance upon presentation by the employee of a one way ticket to the Education Office.

Haha, well, what if I don't have a one way ticket, what then? I have a round trip ticket. And a one way ticket costs the same as a round trip ticket. Therefore no sense in buying, and getting reimbursed, for the value of a one way ticket so buggered.

I mean I have a ticket going out of Korea but it's round trip and coming back again to Korea. Can't get reimbursed because it's not a oneway ticket.

Does anyone have experience with this SNAFU (situation normal, all farked up)? How did you rectify it w/out throwing a tantrum? I'm sure the Education Office will not listen to reason, they go by the letter. PM me if you want.

Why did you buy a R-T ticket if you're not renewing with the same employer?

Cancel your r/t ticket and buy a one way. Get your cash and then trade up to a r/t again.

Or just buy another one way getyour cash and then refund the ticket.
