I've been home for the last few weeks and flew out of Frisco. The jet was 90% full and it seemed like at least 25% the passengers were Indians (and their extended families) heading here. I wonder how that will affect the wages and job situation in Korea if there is an influx of them here?

Indians from San Francisco?

Were they American Indians or Indian Americans or Indian Indians or ...

What's your point?

I guess we wouldn't want them here!

I've met a variety of Indians working here....They're not simply factory 3D workers....others are cooks, artists, yoga teachers/instructors, belly dancers, engineers, etc.

Some could be english teachers, but I doubt they'd bring a family.

Yes, but, who are "they."

If they are Americans who happen to be of Indian descent, their ancestors having come from India, why would they have to work for lower wages, presumably as English teachers, in Korea?

If they are citizens of India, why are they coming to Korea by way of San Francisco?

And if they are American Indians, how could you tell, was it their feathers?

God, another PC wanker! They were wearing traditional garb from India. Yes, THEY were. And THEY were coming from the USA. It was posted as a question about wages. But if you don't like it, PM me. I'll give you my cell number if you want.

Well, if they are American citizens, I don't see how that would affect wages and jobs if they're coming to teach in Korea.

If they're citizens of India, then I guess they could affect wages here, but if they are from India why were they flying out of SFO?

Uh oh, I'm trying to be logical, does this make me a "PC wanker"? Laughing

Glad someone got it. Logical ability is not an E2 requirement.

So, let's see.

They were wearing tradional garb from India.

So, they still could be American citizens.
Likely not the native American variety.
Yes, probably from India.

But, even if they were citizens of India, from India, why were they traveling to Korea from SF?

They wouldn't do that if they were coming to Korea to work, and they wouldn't be wearing traditional Indian garb.

Sounds more like some rich tourists - could be diplomats, politicians or businessmen, and their families - stopping off to see Korea while on their way home from a multinational vacation of some sort.

Mystery solved.

If by some weird chance they were coming from India to teach English- GOOD. Most educated Indians know English better than the majority of whitey English teachers. Not trying to be "pc" or anything (god, when did dave's become ultra-conservative?), but I've met tons of both Educated Indians and Educated Esl teachers. The Indians win every time.

I was going home to Vancouver from singpore a few years ago and walked past a gate with Indians sitting all over the place. After looking for my gate I went back and realized that was my flight to Vancouver.

One guy told me on the plane that they pay 10000 in India for a fake spouse living in Vancouver. They live with them 4 years and then get a divorce.
