| I remember a thread here some time back about where to buy grocieries on-line, but I can't find it now. I'm looking for cracked wheat, tahini, and garbanzo beans. I am not in Seoul, I'm in Daegu, so local stores in Seoul aren't a big help. |

www.grocerymall.net is probably the site that you were thinking of, but there's not a whole lot of stuff that's off the beaten path there.
Is there a mosque in Daegu? I often buy those kinds of things at stores that cater to Muslims. Your other option would be to get someone in Seoul to ship it to you.
edit: www.yoricome.com is also decent, but it sure helps if you can read Korean.

You might be able to find these at a shop catering to Seventh Day Adventists. I can only give specifics in Gwangju, but you might want to ask at your local SDA church!  |

I may not find everything there- but they have Adams 100% Natural Chunky peanut butter- no sugar added, no shortning- REAL PEANUT BUTTER, YUM! I bate the crap thats full of sugar and fat! |

I agree, the prices stink- But Adams Natural Chunky Peanut Butter without sugar and added hydrogenized fat! YUM!
That I haven't found anywhere- its even hard to find in the U.S., except on the West Coast. I have friends who have to order it to get it in Champaign Urbana, Illinios! It is so the best peanut butter, and natural peanut butter is such a good food. |

Why not make your own? Peanuts are cheap as hell here and it's pretty simple to make your own PB.
Fun for the kiddies and those with child-like minds like me. |

I've tried making peanut butter- I never get it quite right. I made some killer hummus the other night, most such things don't elude me, but I think some serious equipment is needed to make killer peanut butter.
Speaking of kids- mine used to hate it when I tried the homemade hippie peanut butter on her. Adams became the family compromise.
Back to the other groceries, it sounds like I might have to have the chick peas, etc. shipped to me by family. I brought some back with me to last a while, but I need a long term supplier. |
