|
|
I am leaving the states for Busan next week, and was wondering about my expenses.
Since I will be wiring money home each month to pay a few bills, and since the rate continues to get worse, I am determined to stick to a budget. With that said...
Can I get by on 600,000 won per month?
I don't really drink, I only plan to eat non-Korean food like once a week or so...I lived in the philippines for two years and am used to being away from the spoils of western life and food... |

i would estimate food costing around 200,000 per month. cell phone around 20,000 or so, utilities running anywhere from 70,000-200,000. you can certainly live on that, it'll just be a somewhat monastic lifestyle |

If he drank only soju it would probably fit in his budget! Soju is dirt cheap.
I usually budget 1,000,000 Won a month for spending money and I save the rest. I get by very comfortably, and usually don't even spend my budget. |

Most people that I know who really try hard to save, and live cheaply, can get by on 400-600 a month. I get by fairly comfortably on about 1,000 a month, and save the rest. |
