I've bought yogurt a few times here in Korea and every time it tastes like it's half-sugar.
Have any of you found any brands that are unsweetened and actually taste like yogurt?
Thanks |

There is a new brand, just hit the shelves at emart.....goat milk yoghurt.
I asked the promotions lady specifically about sugar and she swore blind no sugar. Tastes not bad. I detect sugar though, unless my taste buds deceiveth me. |

I simply went to the Stoneyfield website and snagged the nutrient breakdown for their whole and non-fat yogurts so I could compare. I looked at carbohydrates, proteins and fats of the products at E-mart. I found Pasteur brand in the glass bottles to have the least carbs, most protein and fat per serving indicating lower added sugar. We still found it too sweet and will likley buy a yogurt maker. The cost of the Pasteur brand was about W4500 / 450 ml, waaaaay too much. |

I am led to believe that making yoghurt yourself is very easy. You can make it using some store bought stuff and add milk. That way you get unlimited yoghurt, all you need to do is add mor milk as it is getting low. I've never done it this way myself, only making it from scratch with a yoghurt maker, but I must try it some time. |

Yeah it is..I didn't realize that the first time I picked one up in one of those grab bags. Tastes horrible compared to their flavoured ones. |

Yea, I never eat it on a spoon, I use it for marinading tikka masala or making tzaziki. |

Just get a small container of yogurt, pour it into a microwave safe container, dump in some whole milk, cover the container, wrap it in a towel, microwave it until it is warm, and leave it there over night. In the morning, you'll have plain yogurt. |

^ Yes, yogurt is easy to make. You need yogurt to start making yogurt. Otherwise, you just need milk. Homemade yogurt seems to keep two weeks (at least mine has). Jam is a good sweetener. |

Can you get organic milk or raw milk(unpasteurized)? What about organically grown vegetables? |

i make mine on the heated floor overnight.
for extra richness, add some low-fat powdered milk to a few cups of cold milk, then heat to just above body temperature.it's important not to heat the milk too much, for this can kill the bacteria in the yogurt when it's added. when the milk's hot, put it into a sealable bowl.
then add a small container of probiotic yogurt, stir, seal, put on ondol and cover with a towel.
if you like rich yogurt, trust me on the dry milk.
i've done this with goat's milk as well, but really ended up with a tangy keffir, and not really yogurt...maybe a combo of goat's milk and dry would work.
now i don't buy yogurt for anything other than starter culture... |

Yoplait 'pure & natural', 네이저.
It sells pretty quickly, so shelves sometimes empty. We always buy it for our daughter and she's no allowed sugar till 16 years old. |
