I was right about Mickey Rourke not getting the Oscar - despite having delivered the most powerful performance and being widely considered the frontrunner.
The members of the Academy clearly prefer "homos and commies" (in the words of Sean Penn) to the pro wrestling industry, and when Rourke recklessly announced that he would be competing at this year's "Wrestlemania", he practically blew his chance to win the Oscar. |
