Here is what I did:

I downloaded this English XP HOME OEM from here. It is a clean, generic copy of XP HOME with no serials and no cracks.

then I copied my Korean XP HOME serial number (from the side of my computer) into the validation box when i did a reinstall. It worked perfectly on the new English install and the last step was to validate windows through a simple phone call prompted by the program.

After years of struggling with illegal English XP copies this headache is finally over.

I hope this fix will help some of you out there struggling with illegal software.

I just cracked my version of xp 2 to get sp3

well, I legally owned that Korean XP so I felt justified to finally get the software I paid for after using a crack for over 5 years (this is my son's computer now) just so I could have the English version.

Anyone struggling with XP should have their computer taken away.

With Google and torrents sites anyone can make XP "legit".
