Really weird problem. Here it is in short:

Wife moved the computer desk to a different part of the room so everything was unplugged and disconnected. After reconnecting everything at first I couldn't get the monitor to turn on, weird I thought, but after several restarts finally it came on. I have both a DVI cable and ARGB cable but use the ARGB cable. Anyway normally the monitor stays on with the computer or goes to standby mode when it's off. The other night my mother-in-law was sleeping over and I thought I'd be helpful and actually turned it off, thinking the blinking blue light on standby would be bothersome. So I go to turn it on the next day and NOTHING, no recognizing the monitor, keeps going to sleep mode. I got out the DVI cable and tried that and NOTHING. Man I'm so pissed! The monitor itself is fine as I used it in VIDEO mode to play my Xbox 360 but I really need to get the monitor to work for my computer. I'm probably going to get my someone to look at it but just thought I'd check here to see if anyone might have an easy solution.

I don't mean to sound condescending (really!), but have you checked that your graphics card is plugged in properly? You didn't mention it, and that's the most obvious solution.

The next thing might be to check if the monitor works on another computer (if you don't have one, take it to your local PC-bang and ask very nicely).

Laughing

Re-seat the graphics card.
