For my Korean issues free talking class, I must use a lot of english articles about Korea.
What are the websites you use for your Korean news?
I'm actually looking for more social commentaries and social issues rather that straight up news, because the students are often bored by the news. Any ideas on where to get some social commentary on Korea that students may like to discuss?
The Korea Herald just ain't doing it for me (us). |

It's "Annie's Mailbox" in the Korea Herald. I also find it quite useful for discussion.
Check out www.joongang.co.kr as well. It's another paper also available in English. |

I think it is best to use newspapers published outside of Korea, as they have fewer English mistakes. Try CNN Asia edition, if the articles must be about Korea. You could also talk about sports articles about the famous Korean athletes in the United States. |

Just do a search for posts by real reality. The only thing he does is quote articles and provide links.
He never actually says anything constructive. |

You've got to be kidding me, Stegmann is the biggest knob on the internet.
He spent years on the Moo mailing list pretending to be Japanese until he was 'outed'; His idiocy attracted a hacker/stalker so intent on taking him down that it crippled the list to a point where it has never really recovered. Then he tried the same thing from Hong Kong for a while (taking a Chinese name and letting everyone assume he was Chinese). That page is the 'unofficial' Moogoonghwa homepage that he started and has nothing really to do with the UCSD Moogoonghwa. I'd use the Dear Leader's blog as a news source before his crap. |

Asia Times Online has useful articles on events in Korea. The articles are too long for classroom use, but you could select paragraphs from the articles. |
