I went to a Tofu factory yesterday and I saw them adding some sort of oil into the mix, when I asked what It was the guy responded 'pig.'

I assume he wasn't talking about me Very Happy

So you veggies have maybe been eating meat extracts! You might as well go the whole hog and eat a steak! Do it!!!

And no I cannot post the name of the company because that would breach Korean law.

Goes to show that this country is not, nor will be in the near future, vegetarian friendly.

Good, I would hate to see it succumb to that. Anyways, doesn't anyone know that tofu never was never really intended as a meat substitute in Asia. It's only Westerners who had the idea of taking a slab of tofu and grilling it (or baking, frying etc) and eating it as the main meal.

I'll flip out if I hear one more vegetarian traveling in Asia complain that, "Why do they always mix meat into the tofu dishes!?!?!"

If you PM the information to dozens of people here at Dave's, I doubt you'll go to jail even if it is technically illegal. I hope this helps. Smile
