I've been trying to find the answer to this, and since I have not and it would largely solve the "sending money back home" problem, it might not be possible.
All the bills and whatnot that I'll have to send money home to pay for are linked to our checking account here by using the routing and checking account number. I thought if I opened a checking account when we arrive in Korea, if I am provided with a routing number I could simply use that to set up another checking account from which to pay those same bills. This is all done online by just entering the bank name, routing and checking number.
Does anyone know if this is possible? |

I contacted Paytrust, and they do the same thing my bank already does. All I'm looking to find out is if anyone else has provided their Korean bank's routing number and their checking account number to a credit card company, and then that credit card payment can be debited directly from the Korean bank.
Thanks! |

Doubtful. My credit cards (Bank of America and Chase) will only accept payments drawn from an American bank. |
