H&M OPENS THE FIRST STORE IN SOUTH KOREA
H&M has signed an agreement to open its first store in South Korea. The store will be located in the best business location in Myungdong in Seoul and is planned to open during the spring of 2010. The sales surface will be approximately 2,600 sqm. Negotiations are currently under way for additional store contracts in the Seoul area.
� We look forward to establishing in South Korea. We have positive experiences from our establishments in Japan, Hong Kong and China and see South Korea as a natural consecutive step. South Korea has 49 million inhabitants, of which 23 million in the Seoul area, with a great interest in fashion and purchasing power, says Rolf Eriksen, CEO at H&M.
H&M is planning to open 225 stores net globally during 2009.

Too bad I have taste...
...nah, that's unfair. I bought a good pair of linen trousers from H&M about 6 years ago; the only better pair of linen trousers I have are from Paul Smith, that cost like 10 times as much. |

this is music to my ears. i shop at h&m often...in fact, i was there yesterday...
though i have to admit that their quality is often lacking. i check each item i buy with a fine-tooth comb before i buy it. still, you can't beat nice designs with a cheap price. |

Clothes and accessories. I'm mostly excited about it because they have Western sizes and I'm a tall guy, so it's really hard to find stuff that fits me here. The clothes at H&M are always current and set at a very decent price. I don't think the quality is that bad (especially for the price), I have a few H&M things that have held up nicely over the past 4 or 5 years.
When I went to Shanghai last summer I hit up their H&M and stocked up on stuff I would need for the year...so cheap and nice. It'll be great to have one in Seoul!! |

| This is good news. I've only shopped there a few times back home, but it was like new clothes at prices that were practically thrift store. The quality was good enough...and have you bought any clothes in Korea? Because I bought two nice looking sweaters in Itaewon one afternoon, wore them a couple times each and now they both feel scratchy and look faded. This seems typical for stuff here unless you pay a really high price for it. |

What makes you think H&M will carry Lanky Yanky sizes in Kimchistan? |

Ok I'll be annoying, since you kinda are.

2. underpants, esp. for women and children; panties.
3. British. men's underpants, esp. long drawers.
�Idiom
4. wear the pants, to have the dominant role; be in charge: I guess we know who wears the pants in that family.
Can you read the No. 1 definition? I have never heard anyone say "What kind of pants do you wear, boxers or briefs?" or "OMG pull your shirt down, your pants are showing!!" Lol.
And now in reference to my tall and well-fit body....the H&M in Shanghai only carried Western sizes, as did the one in Tokyo. My guess is that they will be Western sized here in Seoul too. Thanks and have a nice day!

Oddly enough, I've never been asked what kind of pants I wear either. Is that a common thing in America to enquire about another mans underwear?
