I may have missed something in reading posts, but is there a list of REPUTABLE hagwons and contact information available somewhere? If there isn't, would someone please start one? |

Respectable Hagwon = oxymoron
That link doesn't seem to be working yingwen.
Different hagwons react differently to different teachers. A director may like a teacher and the teacher may come on here and praise the lord about him/her but then another teacher comes to the same school and finds hell. Different things cause different reactions as many have pointed out in other threads - too big, too small, too ugly, too loud, not loud enough, not outgoing, too boring, not funny enough, too funny, doesn't like korean food, doesn't talk at our dinners and so on.
Looking for a good hagwon as yingwen has subtly pointed out (unless my internet sucks) rather depends on you and the chemistry between you and your employer. Of course there are bad (I can't put any stronger word cos it will get deleted out) hagwons out there and there are lists of those on here somewhere. |

The people on this forum will share everything but that kind of information

This thread should be put in the oxymoron thread in the off topic section. |

I want to find a hagwon that won't break the law and will treat me respectfully. Should I start praying now? |

Since it seems that there is no totally reputable hagwon, would some of you like to talk about successful teaching experiences at schools? |

I was told (after 10 months had gone by) that I was the worst teacher at my school and had been since I'd come. So... I don't know |

I wonder if a broken link is part of the joke. As the word magicallist isn't in the dictionary, I can only assume that the "English Teacher" meant the magical list, which doesn't exist, hence the broken link.
Great sense of humor "English Teacher," which is what yingwenlaoshi means in Mandarin Chinese. |
