I will come back to my country 1 month later, and I need a new phone, an Iphone 3G.
Anyone who brought their Iphone from states and still using it as an Ipod in Korea, would you like to sell it to me? Wink
Please give me an offer if you have one by PM or email [email protected]
OR anyone who know where I can get one in Korea, pls let me know. I appreciate that.
Thank you very much Wink

Thanks for the link
but I prefer second hand first Wink

I think this one (8gb iphone 3G) is imported directly from US. And with a very high interest rate these days, 890,000won is too much for me (My friend in Uk can buy the 16gb iphone 3G with just same price)

Supply and Demand my friend. The supply of 3G iPods is not available.

I was just in the US a few weeks ago. If I had bought an iPod 3G unlocked in the US with the intent to sell in Korea, I would charge a premium for it.

OP, I doubt you'll find a good "deal" on used 3G iPods here in Korea. Most people who have one probably have all their apps, songs, phone numbers, etc.. in it. Expect to pay a hefty price for one.

I think your best bet would be to go home and buy it used there. You'll get a much better price than trying to buy it here.

it might not help much now but i hear they are planning on opening the OS restrictions in south korea so that you will be able to buy an iphone over here and even be able to use it on the SK network. Dont know when its going to happen though. sometime after the Korean only OS law lapses this year.

I posted a topic similiar to this asking if it was possible to use unlocked CDMA phones from other countries in Korea, and got a lot of answers. Apparently, you cannot use unlock cmda phones on the korea network, because you would have to find someone with some real korean telecom programming knowledge to be able to program it for you, aside from that, most of the functions wouldn't work because the current korean telecom network and phones use a proprietary korean OS, they don't use symbian, windows mobile, etc like all the smart phones we're used to. Thus many of the features would remain unfunctional, otherwise I would have bought a nice unlocked nokia, thc, or iphone cdma from the states and just have a friend send it to me months ago. Alas, it'd be a waste of time and money, so heads up, don't buy one thinking you can use it on the networks here. As far as I know, your better off waiting until thy sell foreign phones made for the korean cell network here, which Lord willing won't be more than another 3 or 4 months, i'm waiting for them as well, i hate these stupid dinky non customizable OS phones... Actually I'm not planning to use an Iphone in Korea 'cause I will leave to my country next month. In my country, an unlocked Iphone has a crazy high price compare to UK or US. That's why I'd like to find an used Iphone here, from people who brough theirs from UK or US, and can't make it work with Korea network. At least by that way, their I(no)phone can function as a phone again in my hand ^^ and I hope that second hand price will not be too much Wink
