| Most coffeeshops (Tom Tom's, Holly's, etc) have free wifi. |
That seems to be true of the larger franchises you mentioned, though not every coffee shop has a ready supply of sockets, which may be useful.
Holly's plays annoying jazz music, IMHO.
Tom Tom's by Gwangali beach locate the sockets under the wall mounted sofas. They have free internet laptop access, but the laptop is by the window, so it's kind of hard to see the screen on sunny days. |

I know there is free wifi in starbucks. A Korean friend of mine, connects to the NESPOT network, opens a browser logs in to a portal with her info and away she goes.
I can connect to the network which looks like a standard NESPOT connection but I am not redirected to the appropriate portal nor can I navigate to it manually. I'm never actually assigned an IP and try as I might I can't figure out what's up.
I'm using English version of Vista on a Canadian Dell Laptop.
Anyone had luck getting free starbucks Internet on their setup? |
I'm glad someone else has finally noticed this!
Starbucks are advertising free wifi, say they will take you to a portal for free login and instead you just get the nespot thing which is a paid for kt subscription service, thus no bloody internet. It's not your OS I'm getting it on my ipod touch using safari. |

Was there today and it worked fine.
type in your name as it appears on your ARC in ALL CAPS WITH NO SPACES and then your id number and you'll be good to go.
fortunately most of the starbucks I frequent have other businesses nearby where I can leech off of their free wireless rather than letting big brother watch my every move. |

So would this be correct
username: DOEJOHNJAMES
pw: 423453-4390584 (do we need to put in the dash in the middle, the whole number, or just the first or second part of the number?)
Thanks |

Not in my starbucks, only one area for pw and one for username. It's the standard kt nespot login. Is this what you get? Tried to login today to no avail.
I go on safari, hit for any webpage and it always takes me to this kt login page. is yours a google login page or KT? |
