|

Is there a legal issue in terms of contracts/labor issues that had to do with hagwons that have less than a certain number (I want to say 5-6) employees? Some reason to be wary of schools that small?
Or did I imagine that? |

No, you didn't imagine it. The Korean Labor Standards Act states -
"Article 10 (Scope of Application)
(1) This Act shall apply to all businesses or workplaces in which more than 5 workers are ordinarily employed." |

Surely that doesn't mean that small businesses can disregard the entire labour act though? I know I'm being lazy, but are there separate labour laws in place for small businesses? |

Hmm, good question. What about businesses where the boss runs the show, and hires one guy to come and do his tax returns once a month or whatever? |
