I'm just wondering if there's any kind of government body in Korea that oversees the conditions of housing or anything?
I just found an apartment, signed the contract, paid and got the key today. I had already seen the place, and I already knew that the fake hardware floor was coming up a bit..but wasn't a huge problem.
However, today I looked closer and when I pulled it up on near the wall, there's a lot of moisture and mold underneath the floor, and a lot of these really tiny small white bugs crawling around...
The real estate guy and the landlord just said they would clean it (probably with bug spray), but I'm thinking this is a health issue at the least. Is there anything I can do? I was hoping they would take out the floor, clean it well, and put new floors in. It's really old anyway.
Please help! |

To be honest, even back home (New Zealand) there wouldn't be jack I could do about it under these circumstances, besides giving my notice to leave. |
