I have been to Busan several times, but now I am really considering moving there. I would like to hear from some well seasoned teachers out there who have lived in Seoul and Busan. Which do you prefer and why???

No offense to Korea newbies. I just want to hear from people with 3+ years of experience in Korea.

I lived in Seoul for two years and Busan for six.

Seoul's air can get brown often, whereas Busan's worst--barring yellow dust--is usually a dark gray.

Busan has a sea-breeze in the summer whereas Seoul feels like a pressure cooker, and Busan has mild winters.

Traffic is worse in Busan with very crowded roads.

I like Seoul's big city feel, but Busan has become tolerably homey to me.

Plus, in Busan for the same amount of money you'll be able to live in a larger and cleaner apartment than if you were in Seoul.

The haeundea beach area almost has an international feel about the place. It's a cool area anytime of the year!
