|

hey everyone,
Does what it says on the tin really. Does any one know where I can find a British electrical converter in Ulsan. I've tried emart and lottemart but all I can find are Korean plug converters (i guess for holidays, travel etc) or American plug converters. Anyone know where I can pick one up for the regular 3 pronged British plug? I neeeed my straighteners!
Thanks (also it would be brilliant if anyone could tell me if I can get English books anywhere here?) |

Negative on both, I'm afraid. Is is for a pc or a just a hair dryer that you seek the 3 pronger??
There are no English bookshops in Ulsan. You've stumbled across a wasteland. |

There is a building near the bus stations that is a big electronics market... They should have your converter there... If you walk from Lotte Dept. Store past the 2 bus stations, cross the street and take the first street on the left there is a big building about a block and a half down on the right.
And, although it isn't a big selection, you can get English novels and the such in the Kidari across from Lotte Hotel... They also used to have a decent little library at both Benchwarmers and Tombstone... |

Get onto Facebook group in Ulsan and swap books for all you worth.
Probably there's a bookclub that meets once a month, join 'em.
If you bus to Daegu, it'll be Kyobo bookstore, I'm sure you already know. It's in Downtown, relatively easy to find. Buy a boring book or two that'll assauge the propensity to read so that they'll last. eg The Earth is Flat by Friedman.
Check out buy and sell forum on Daves. |

Yes, there is a bookstore in New Downtown. I have seen adapters at Home Plus. |

There's a small but decent selection of classics and bestselling novels in English in the bookstore above the McDonalds across from the Hyundai Department Store. I've bought plenty of books from there. |

Take great care that the adapter is suitable for the hairdryer and take it into the store for a fitting. The adapters I've seen have all been for North American appliances. |
