Worst economic crisis in decades and two ongoing wars. And Barack Obama seems to prefer to play basketball instead of leading the country...

This is exactly right. It is a pathetic way to spin this story. Commander-in-chief or not, economic crisis and wars or not, people need to take breaks, be it shooting hoops or hitting a round of golf.
Your reaction is perfectly justified, Chuvok. Unfortunately, you and others remain so caught up in one-sided self-righteousness, which now manifests as one-sided defensiveness, that you do not seem to appreciate where you would stand, and how you would respond to, say, a CNN story treating a white, male, Republican commander-in-chief, someone who was not the people's Messiah, who did exactly the same thing as Barack Obama just did... |
