Ha, the Korean rats have nowhere else to go!! Once it hits 2 to the doll hair, the Korean rats will proclaim,

"We can still send 200 home a month!"

Once their salary is cut to 1 mil a month, the Korean rats will say,

"Hey, at least we have free housing and air fare."

Once those are taken away, the Korean rats will say, "At least we have a job."

Once that is taken away, the Korean rats will say, "At least we have the opportunity to live in a different country."

ha, this is good stuff, I think I'll use this again.

seriously mates....seriously!!

Well, unless you are going to be here for another year or so, I am not sure there is a point to holding on to your money. Those who will be here until the winter of next year, have a good chance the currency may go back to say 1200. It's hard to say right now. If it goes to 1700 that means there is more pessimism in the US, and people are in more of a state of fear back home. The Korean economy is very much tied to exporting in the US, and a low Korean currency is very good obviously if you are so focused on exporting to one particular country, and also the Euro is a strong currency as well.

I am sure this is a hard time for many of us when we see our earnings kind of going up in smoke.... The currency rate changes are basically making our earnings vanish.......

The American economy at some point will likely recover, and with it the Won.

However, that could be a good 2 or 3 years away. This recession/depression will be very deep. Make no mistake about it.

Alot of "experts" were predicting last year that the won would be strengthen by now.

They were wrong. NOBODY knows the bottom for the won. NOBODY.

Economists and astrologers have a lot in common. Nobody knows the bottom for anything right now - it's not just won; the won reflects the global crisis, which is being felt everywhere.

Thats great news! Now an 8000 won pint of Guiness is only 4 bucks and and a double Jameson is only $3.35! Think of all the money you're saving every time you drink.

A little heavy on the attitude Wink but you are right. There is clearly no use in coming here at present. If you are already here then leaving would be a little expensive, and it might be worth your while to stay especially if you have savings. Other than that you are coming to a less than desirable country for about $9 per hour.

LOL, the other day I was thinking, this footlong sub sandwich at 7,300 is only about $4.50USD. At my local, pints of Hite are only $1.25. In Canada that wouldn't pay the taxes.

Or tips...a lot of people forget to add that into their cost calculations as well.

Wow, half priced drinks, no tip AND cheap cab fare home. Recruiters might want to use this information as many people head to China...
