I downloaded Nate-on and it worked fine for 2 seconds until I changed the font colour, and then I could no longer see what I was typing in Korean, I could only see squares, one square per syllable block. The funny thing is that on the other end, the receiver can read everything I wrote, and I can read everything they wrote, but if I copy and paste into the dialogue box it turns into squares again.
I re-downloaded, tried the older version, both Korean and English versions, but it's still messed up. I can't find any settings to change or ways to alter the encoding.
I'm running English XP, but have all the Korean language stuff installed - have no problem reading or writing Korean or using Korean programs or websites, apart from the occasional time where I get werid characters, usually when installing or deleting a program.
Anyone have similar issues with Nateon? |

I fixed that problem....it's the fonts....first un-installed the fancy fonts plug-in if you isntalled it for NATE. Second, find some korean fonts online(google it). THEN change the font in nate to the korean font you downloaded. You have to put those fonts in your Windows font folder.
Most of the default fonts for windows seem to have issues, but a few of them work....just download the korean fonts to save some time. |

I agree with the thread title: Nateon is a problem. |
